[http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilpas] -- haha -- Actually, I found an awesome video on how to convert a stock 18-55 into a super-macro lens. Tough project, but hard to argue with the results, eh?
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelavina] It's funny, the lens works fine but for some reason captures no EXIF! Must be my poor soldering chops having missed something and I'm too shocked that it works to bother going in and risking everything by fixing it. But the bottom line is that, short of holding the camera (at 45mm and wide open F) about 3 inches from my eye, I actually don't know!
