This is my attempt at submitting something to the Week 5 theme (Bokeh). This is an old tree stump with a tight focus on the outer edge.
I like the spheres of color in the background, though am perplexed by what makes this happen since, with the human eye, these usually end up as lines. Anyone have a scientific explanation for this?
I've been pretty lax about following the weekly images so far. Today I spent about 45 minutes trying to capture a decent image of smoke coming off an incense stick before finally giving up. Soooo, I present here my streetscape! This is just outside my little girl's playschool after a rainstorm.
This is a hole in the foliage inside Walton Park in Sale. Reminded me kind of like something you might find between worlds in Labyrinth, so I processed it up a bit. It was a bit of a pain to crop out David Bowie and all those Muppets, but hey, I've got content-aware!
Best of a very small pool today unfortunately. It was raining today and I just don't know how sensitive my DSLR is to such things. Anyone know how much water exposure is "safe"?

Napoleon I (Napoleon Bonaparte) (pictured) was not particularly short, and did not have a Napoleon complex. After his death in 1821, the French emperor’s height was recorded as 5 feet 2 inches in French feet. This corresponds to 5 feet 6.5 inches in modern international feet, or 1.686 metres. There are competing explanations for why he was nicknamed le Petit Caporal (The Little Corporal), but few modern scholars believe it referred to his physical stature.
