Wow, can't believe we're at 100 already! This is my first time shooting in RAW format - I can't believe how much more control you get. The extra time for saving to disk is much less than I thought it would be, though I don't see leaving it on RAW if want to catch any action shots.
This is an apex shot from the Disney Balloon. Since I've been shooting it from the outside all week, it's only fair to get a view from the top. Heading home tomorrow (sigh).
My token contribution to the landscape theme. Looks real, eh? This is part of the Old West scenery at EuroDisney, but true to life it felt just as serene. Can't believe how much I enjoyed our day there!
On a side note, all my images are creative commons attribution licensed. I know I watermarked this one but I don't exactly know what the rules are when it comes to posting Disney pics. Since Disney is second only to the music industry in suing their own fans, I'm going to slap a copyright notice on this one. I'm not claiming a copyright on it myself, of course, but hopefully this will shift any takedown notices away from my entry.
On that note, does anyone know the legal precedent on stuff like this? Can I 'own' - or more to the point, give away - this image if it came from inside a private park?
These two lovebirds have been camping just outside our hotel door for the past few days. My girls have adopted them and take great pride in assigning meal times and "putting them to bed".
Shot from my car on the way from Dover to "Paris" -- we're bring our little girl to Disney! We lived in Grenoble (down in the French Alps just outside of Geneva) for just under two years and have always had an affinity for this country, though we have not been back since our oldest was born. Very much looking forward to our first imbibe of baguette, cheese and wine!

Alcohol does not in fact make one warmer. The reason that alcoholic drinks create the sensation of warmth is that they cause blood vessels to dilate and stimulate nerve endings near the surface of the skin with an influx of warm blood. This can actually result in making the core body temperature lower, as it allows for easier heat exchange with a cold external environment.

Despite the peaceful foundations of global monotheistic religions, the broad diversity of interpretations can lead to a sharp paradox regarding the use of force. Inevitably, we must ask ourselves: How can those who ascribe to peaceful beliefs suspend their own moral foundation to beat the drums of war? ... read more
