Many apologies for the belated posting - my surgical recovery time has been longer than expected. Pain meds and blogging make poor lovers. Here is the roundup from last Friday:

its funny - Fitzy represents northern IL - and was choosen by Senator Peter Fizgerald (no relation), a republican. I was not crazy about Fitzy becuase he was from New York, and I believed that somone from IL should have gotten the position.

But Senator Fitzgerald was right! Illinois needed someone from the outside. I really like Fitzy. and he is great. he has brought down alot of cooruption in IL and in Chicago.

Yea, it's funny, but when I started doing the Libby: Leftly Leaning series for the MBA, one of the first things I learned was that Fitz self-identifies as a conservative. The detail and vigor with which he has pursued this investigation makes me respect him all the more for being able to shelve his personal politics in favor of applying the law.
