In other news, apparently we're lazily floating in a sea of Zarqawi booty [3] while the National Review cautions against a post hoc connection [4] between Zarqawi's death and justification for a Forever War; Bob wonders where is Feodosia [5] and why do we have Marines stationed there; and Team America may be finally getting around to trying Gitmo detainees [6] (secretly, of course).
Republicans are pushing [7] to scale-back Katrina aid in the face of monetary improprieties. That's some pretty big talk for the disseminators of no-bid [8] contracts to their corporate cronies. Meanwhile, it's the people who would suffer [9] the loss. Again.
The ACLU sues [10] the Pentagon for spying on anti-war groups while even conservatives remain skeptical [11] that the spy program has or will produce any security gains.
Is that the familiar stench of political distration [12] in the air or is it simply the smell [13] of our heads in the sand?
Farewell Good riddance to Bush's mouthpiece, leaving a giant shiny hole [14] in the middle of the President's face.
